The data file in this archive was prepared for [Abowd, Kramarz, Perez-Duarte, and Schmutte (2018) "Sorting Between and Within Industries; A Testable Model of Assortative Matching"](http://digitalcommons.ilr.cornell.edu/ldi/38/). The file contains estimated means, variances, and covariances between person- and firm-specific components of log earnings estimated from the Abowd-Kramarz-Margolis decomposition as applied to U.S. matched employer-employee data between 1990 and 2003 produced by the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics program of the U.S. Census Bureau. The file also contains the empirical variance-covariance matrix of the estimated moments calculated by the bootstrap.*NOTE* The source LEHD data are confidential. To comply with Census disclosure rules, we prepared these tables using the approved method of noise-infusion as applied to the [Quarterly Workforce Indicators](https://lehd.ces.census.gov/data/). Details of the noise-infusion procedure are available in the included disclosure avoidance memo and also in the source paper referenced above.
